Adding and Subtracting Mixed Numbers Tarsia Puzzle

In this activity, students will practice adding and subtracting mixed numbers (numerators 1 – 9, denominators 2 – 20, some whole numbers, and some simplification required) as they piece together a fun puzzle! Students will find their answers on a separate puzzle piece and match the edges together until all the problems have been solved and the puzzle is completed. This is a great hands-on activity for students as they practice their mixed number skills. The activity also works well for group work, enrichment, station work, kinesthetic learners, and early finishers. Laminate and store in baggies for repeated use year after year!
