Adding and Subtracting Polynomials 8-Bracket Tournament

In this activity, students will direct the flow of an 8-bracket single-elimination tournament as they decide which players move to the next round by adding and/or subtracting and then evaluating polynomials! The students on the worksheet are assigned a polynomial and then all students must add/subtract their polynomial with the one given for the round. Afterwards, students will evaluate their expression to determine their points (an x-value is given for each round, also). Students complete the bracket as they finish each round until the winner is finally determined! This is a fun way for students to practice their basic algebra skills with a competitive edge!
