In this activity, pairs of students will compete with each other to try to “hit” their opponents coordinate location (“Battleship” style) as they graph a linear equation. The activity contains 24 linear equations that students will randomly choose to graph. Equations are written in standard and slope-intercept form, and vertical and horizontal lines are included as well. This is a fun way for students to get engaged in practicing their graphing skills, and a great way for them to check the work of their partner (their opponent!) to make sure they aren’t accidentally hit!
