Description

In this activity, students will determine whether pairs of functions are inverses as they tap into their creative side! Once students determine if the pairs are inverses, they will follow the directions for that box on the next page based on their answer. They will fill the boxes with fun patterns, drawings, and creative ideas! The students will create their own colorful masterpieces as they reinforce their advanced algebra skills, and you will be able to quickly check for understanding as the students assemble their artwork. This flexible activity allows students to stretch their imagination while providing essential skills practice and review.

This no-prep activity is an excellent resource for sub plans, enrichment/reinforcement, early finishers, and extra practice with some fun. It is especially useful for end-of-year practice, spiral review, and motivated practice when students are exhausted from standardized testing or mentally “checked out” before a long break (hello summer!). As an added bonus, the completed work doubles as excellent classroom decor and allows your students to show off not only their math, but also their artistic, skills!
